This issue of The Otorhinolaryngologist contains a guest Editorial by Professor Tony Narula which as you would expect is an intelligent and articulate article on the role of the GMC in the 21st century. There are many doctors who remain wholly under impressed with the GMC and it will be interesting to see how its role develops in the next few years.

I am pleased to report that The Otorhinolaryngologist continues to receive excellent high quality articles from recognised experts in specialist areas of ORL-HNS. The Editorial board is in the process of planning a sort of syllabus which we hope will cover most of the important topics in all aspects of ORL-HNS over the next few years. I hope that the review articles will act as both texts for revision for trainees as well as providing a handy reference for busy Otolaryngologists.

Every member of ENTUK should receive a copy and if you are not receiving a copy please let the publishers (RILA) know and your details will be added to the distribution list. As always, I would very much welcome any comments or suggestions which can be e mailed to me directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Best wishes
